Ayia Napa Marina Christmas Village: These are the surprises awaiting young and old alike!
From December 8 to December 29, Ayia Napa Marina transforms into a fairytale-like Christmas Village, offering a unique experience filled with festive ambiance, dazzling lights, and numerous activities and events for all ages, promising to make your holidays unforgettable.
The official opening of the Christmas Village will take place on Sunday, December 8, at the Marina’s central square (Event Plaza) with an impressive Christmas tree lighting ceremony from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event includes greetings from the organizers, speeches by the Marina’s CEO in the presence of local officials and special guests, and a spectacular fireworks display. Following the lighting, the Harmony Symphony Band will perform delightful melodies, followed by Art de Ballet and DJ Claudio, ensuring an evening filled with dance and entertainment.
Santa’s House opens the same day, December 8, from 5:30 PM and will be open on the weekends of December 14-15 and December 21-22 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Visitors of all ages can meet Santa Claus, take photos with him, share joy, create cherished holiday memories, and of course, receive a small gift.
The program features a variety of events to captivate every visitor. The Inflatable Christmas Castle and the Bubble House at Papantoni Square will provide endless hours of fun for children on weekends. For a touch of magic, a team of magicians and illusionists will perform amazing tricks to dazzle audiences on Saturday, December 14, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and on the weekend of December 21-22 from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM.
Passion Dance School, Freedom Dance Studio, and Dancando School of Dance will present lively dance performances on December 14 and 21. Beloved Christmas movies will be screened at the Event Center on December 14-15. Various workshops for creating Christmas cards and sweets will be conducted by Irene Klokkari and Happy Kiddo. On December 21-22, enjoy theatrical and interactive performances, such as Scrooge, A Christmas Carol, The House of Fairy Tales, and The Elves’ Workshop, along with children’s activities, live music (jazz by Christina Averkiou Quartet on December 21, dance show by Ifigenia Christodoulou’s troupe on December 22), parades, stilt walkers, and a Mickey and Minnie Mouse show. Younger visitors can also participate in storytelling, gingerbread house-making, or cookie decorating workshops with Stella Pourgouri from Sweet Stories.
On Christmas Eve, the Village hosts special activities like Christmas Games by musical storyteller Nikos Christodoulou, theatrical performances, and candle and wreath-making workshops. The evening will conclude with live performances by the Evagoras Choir of Famagusta and the Charisma Band, a group of talented musicians with disabilities that never fails to amaze audiences.
The Christmas market at Ayia Napa Marina offers a wide selection of delicious treats, from hot chocolate and sweets to street food and drinks. You will also find unique handmade gifts and decorations, perfect for your loved ones. The market will be open on December 8, the weekends of December 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, on December 17 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on December 23, 24, 26, and 27 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
