ARCHITECT AND DESIGN SUPERVISOR

Job Overview:

The Architect and Design Supervisor serves as a key liaison between the Technical team, other ANM departments, and the end client, ensuring that all ongoing, proposed, and future architectural designs for the Ayia Napa Marina project meet the established quality standards. This role supports and oversees the external design team while preparing interior design drawing packages. This entails incorporating client modifications, coordinating material and product selections, preparing detailed, construction, and coordination drawings in collaboration with the wider design team, consultants, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, installers, and fabricators. The process also involves obtaining quotations, preparing cost information, conducting regular site supervision, attending coordination meetings, and supporting clients during their visits. In essence, we produce and manage the design and implementation of such for each project from inception through to handover.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process technical inquiries from customers, directly or in coordination with the Sales Department.
  • Evaluate the technical and commercial feasibility of client requests in consultation with the Technical, Sales and Commercial Managers.
  • Prepare and issue preliminary drawings, sketches, and support documents for each inquiry, coordinate input from Technical, Procurement, Sales and Commercial teams.
  • Prepare and produce ID design drawings to IFC level in AutoCAD and update regularly when revisions occur, in the absence of an Interior Design consultant.
  • Attend regular progress and coordination meetings; review, comment on, and follow up on meeting minutes and action items.
  • Participate in client meetings during the pre-construction and construction phase and maintain accurate records of discussions and decisions.
  • Liaise with individual clients on material selection and design decision issues to ensure the correct information is being coordinated across all functions
  • Identify potential design risks or issues and review them with the Chief Technical Officer for mitigation.
  • Report back to clients on the status and outcomes of their inquiries, ensuring alignment with Sales and Technical input.
  • Maintain continuous communication with internal departments including Technical, Procurement, Sales and Commercial to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement feedback mechanisms and complaint-handling procedures to improve client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement improvements to customer service and project delivery processes.
  • Ensure all consultant design submissions comply with client requirements and company standards.
  • Manage the process for reviewing, commenting on, and following up on consultant design documentation to ensure compliance and coordination.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in architectural design or coordination, preferably within a commercial or residential development environment.
  • Registration with a relevant architectural body or working towards professional licensure (preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) is a requirement.
